Not satisfied with your silicon? Send it back unused, in original packaging, within 30 days for a full refund. Pre-paid return labels. Lifetime RMA on manufacturing defects. Cross-shipment available on verified high-priority claims.

5-STEP RETURN PROCESS

Request RMA

Email rma@threadprocessor.corp with your order number, the reason for return, and photos if applicable. Or open a ticket via the contact page — TECHNICAL_SUPPORT category routes directly to our RMA desk.

Receive RMA label

Within 24 business hours we issue a unique RMA reference number and a pre-paid return shipping label as a PDF emailed to the address on file. Print at home or any FedEx/UPS depot.

Ship it back

Drop at any carrier location in the original anti-static packaging, sealed in the original outer box. The RMA reference must be visible on the outside of the package. Keep your drop-off receipt until refund is confirmed.

Receive & inspect

On arrival the package is logged, scanned, and forwarded to our QC bench. Inspection takes 1–3 business days: photographic record, electrical bench-test, and pin/socket integrity check.

Refund issued

Following successful inspection, funds are returned to the original payment method within 3–5 business days. You receive an email notification with the transaction reference the moment we issue the refund.

  • Unused product in factory-sealed anti-static packaging
  • Returned within 30 days of confirmed delivery
  • Original RMA reference label affixed to outer box
  • Anti-static bag, foam tray, and accessories intact
  • All original documentation included
  • Product matches the SKU originally shipped (verified by serial scan)

NOT ELIGIBLE

  • Visibly used, delidded, lapped, or physically modified silicon
  • Bent pins, oxidation on contacts, or thermal-cycling damage to IHS
  • Returns received past the 30-day return window
  • Custom-binned, hand-selected, or special-order units
  • Software products, digital downloads, or activation codes
  • Items marked "final sale" or sold as bench-test surplus
  • Free promotional or bundled gift items

LIFETIME WARRANTY & RMA TERMS

Lifetime RMA on defects

We warrant every CPU and component against manufacturing defects for the lifetime of the product. Defects discovered any time after the 30-day return window are handled under warranty — repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.

Voided by overclocking damage

Damage attributable to user-applied voltages outside vendor specification, thermal-runaway events, modification, or improper installation is not covered. We retain forensic right to inspect the failed unit before warranty determination.

Cross-shipment available

For verified high-priority RMAs we can dispatch a replacement before receiving the defective unit, against a pre-authorisation on your card. Hold is released the moment the defective unit arrives.

DOA replacement (7 days)

Dead-on-arrival units reported within 7 days of delivery are replaced with overnight shipping at our cost. No bench-test or photographic evidence required for DOA claims.

EXCHANGE OPTIONS

Like-for-like exchange

Same SKU, different unit. Useful for DOA replacement or cosmetic-defect exchange. No restocking fee.

Upgrade exchange

Apply your refund toward a higher-priced SKU. Pay the difference at checkout; we cover return shipping on the original unit.

Downgrade refund

Exchange for a lower-priced SKU. Difference refunded to original payment method or as bonus store credit (5% premium).

Cross-brand swap

Returning an Intel for an AMD (or vice versa)? Treated as a like-for-like return + new order. Pay the difference or receive a refund as appropriate.

RETURN-RELATED FAQS

How long do I have to initiate a return?

30 calendar days from the delivery date shown by the carrier. We use carrier-confirmed delivery, not order date — so transit time is not deducted from your window.

Do I pay for return shipping?

No. We issue a pre-paid return label inside Canada and the US. For international returns we either issue a pre-paid international label or reimburse postage on receipt — your call at RMA creation.

Can I return a gift?

Yes. Provide the order number (printed on the gift receipt or available from the gifter) and we'll issue store credit to the recipient or refund to the original payer at your preference.

What if I lose my RMA label?

Reply to the RMA email and we'll re-issue. The RMA reference remains valid for 14 days from issuance.

Can I return only part of an order?

Yes. Specify the individual SKUs at RMA creation. Refund covers only the returned items; we adjust order-level discounts proportionally and refund pro-rata.

What if my CPU is fine but the wrong SKU was shipped?

Mis-ships are 100% our cost. Contact support — we cross-ship the correct unit overnight and pre-pay the return label for the wrong unit.
